Sustainable Structures is a three-part documentary series that focuses on energy efficient and environmentally sustainable housing. Filmed in Manitoba during the Winter of 2019, the series showcases seven unique homes, and the people who inhabit them.

Episodes

Episode 1

Two homes from two Manitoba companies making waves in the energy efficient building industry. The KITHOUSE Premiere is a net zero ready home that comes pre-cut and ready to assemble. And Greenstone Structural Solutions Ice Panels are a high performance, composite building envelope system used to build long lasting, energy efficient buildings.

Episode 2

Two homes from very opposite ends of the spectrum. An off-grid, solar powered compound that has been occupied by the same resident for forty years, and Manitoba’s first certifiedPassive House. A dream home nestled in 80 acres of Aspen forest.

Episode 3

We venture into the city to visit two very different homes designed around Passive House principals. An old 1947 home that has been retrofitted and a family who tore down their old house and built a new one in it’s pace.
