Shaping Sound

Year: 2018
Genre: Entertainment

Family, art, friendships and a sense of community transcend in this documentary about reclaimed guitars.  These homemade instruments that give a voice to what was once considered garbage become the heroes of the story.

A man who takes refuge in his garage and a young songwriter who wants to travel and explore, engage in a conversation about art and the Winnipeg music scene.

Oscar works to bring a new guitar to life, taking pride in saving a hundred year old piece of oak, while Maddy takes to the stage and the streets with her guitar singing about topics that are meaningful in her life.

Shaping sound is warm and thoughtful.  It makes us believe that some things can’t be replaced and others shouldn’t be discarded.
